Junior Operations Officer
Summary
We are looking for a junior level Operations Officer to join our school in Cholargos. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all aspects of the school run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that students receive the highest quality education and support. They will also play a critical role in overlooking & improving the internal processes of the organization, making sure they are aligned with the school’s core values and mission statement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations (80% of total effort)
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of the school: You will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the school run smoothly and efficiently, including requests, scheduling classes, and overseeing student enrolment and registration.
- Supervising and supporting staff: You will support administrative staff & faculty, ensuring that they are meeting their performance targets and providing high-quality service to students.
- Maintaining facilities and equipment: You will be responsible for ensuring that the school’s facilities are maintained to a high standard, and that all necessary equipment and materials are available.
- Building and maintaining relationships: You will build and maintain relationships with students, parents & staff, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided by the school.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures: You will work to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the overall objectives of the school, including compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Classter: The candidate will have to get familiar with Classter (the software package used at the school for accounting, financing, and operations purposes) and be up to date with the latest changes.
- Onboarding and Retention: Ensure a smooth onboarding process (induction) for new hires. Provide ongoing support and guidance to new employees during their integration into the school’s culture and processes.
- Working closely with the academic department: You will support the academic departments to ensure that the curriculum is being delivered effectively, and that students are receiving high-quality education.
- Identifying opportunities for growth and improvement: You will identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and work with the management team to implement changes that will enhance the school’s operations and services.
2. Accounting (20% of total effort)
- Cash Registry: Keep track daily of the cash flow (with breakdown to cash, credit card & bank transfer / deposits).
- Receipts: Issue all students’ receipts or invoices monthly. Send monthly reports to the accountant.
- Income Statements Preparation: Prepare Monthly Profit & Loss Statements on an Accrual Basis to track performance as measured by gross profit & EBIDTA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, management information system or any other related field with strong math background.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a school setting.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications and general comfort with IT systems.
- Problem solving mindset and enthusiasm for innovation.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Compensation Package
The compensation package is a mix of fixed financial benefits and some fringe benefits.
1. Financial Benefits
Gross Salary: € 900 – 1.050 per month under the regime of IKA. The contract is on an indefinite basis starting September 1st of 2024. Working Schedule: Mondays – Fridays 16.00 to 22.00. Might be asked to work a few Saturdays (throughout the year), for training purposes. During periods of heavy workload, additional working hours will be paid extra.

EFL Instructor – Certificate classes
Job description
We are seeking to employ an English teacher with a minimum of five years’ experience teaching certificate classes, specializing in the Cambridge and Michigan format.
The successful candidate should be a native or near-native English speaker, with Greek knowledge (B1 level and above) and hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University, preferably in English Literature, Arts or Social Sciences.
We are looking for a highly energetic, creative team player, who is passionate about education, and interested in an ongoing position at the school.
What your typical day will look like
At Siountri School we take pleasure in providing a dynamic and inspirational environment for students and staff alike. As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to connect with fellow teachers, students, administrative staff, and clients from a variety of different cultural and educational backgrounds. On a typical day you will utilize your skills to:
- Teach English to school aged children and/or adults of various ages.
- Formulate and implement a complete lesson plan for the academic year, including the testing and correcting of students’ skills and opportunities for them to receive feedback.
- Monitor your students’ progress throughout each term to provide detailed reports to the parents and school.
- Inform the school administration immediately about any issues relating to your students’ progress, behavior, health or safety.
- Manage your personal teacher’s account on the school’s chosen online LMS platform, Classter, including using it to assign homework, schedule tests and record students’ grades and absences.
- Collaborate with your colleagues to schedule educational activities.
- Utilize the interactive whiteboard in your classroom as a basic teaching tool.
- Participate in all teachers’ meetings and school activities.
- Supervise students during the lesson breaks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated team player, who is reliable and punctual, and takes pride in the attention to detail and diligence they display in their work. Excellent knowledge of English is fundamental to the role, with very good knowledge of Greek considered an advantage. Basic competence with the MS Office suite, as well as strong organizational and communication skills, will be crucial for success in this role, while experience in Cambridge and Michigan examination styles will be highly beneficial. In addition, the candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in English Literature or Social Science.
- Trinity CertTESOL or a Cambridge CELTA.
- Minimum five years of teaching experience preparing students for Cambridge or Michigan exams
- Comfortable with teaching online sessions via TEAMS.
- Confident with public speaking and capable of building rapport with students and parents.
Compensation Package
The compensation package will follow a fixed contract for a full academic year. The salary will depend on a pre-arranged teaching schedule, between 14:00-22:00 daily.

English Language Teacher Junior Classes

We are seeking to employ an English teacher with a minimum of three years’ experience in teaching young learners’ classes (5-8 years old). The successful candidate should be a native or near native English speaker, with Greek knowledge (B1 level and above). We are looking for a highly energetic, creative team-player, who is passionate about education, and interested in an ongoing position at the school; someone who has the energy and knowledge to bring to life a lesson full of action & fun, with a more interactive approach, through theater, games, activities, crafts, songs, etc.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated team player who is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in the attention to detail and diligence they display in their work. In addition, the candidate should:
- Have a BA degree from a reputable university, preferably in English Literature or Social Sciences.
- Hold a Trinity CertTESOL or a Cambridge CELTA; TYLEC will be considered an advantage.
- Be familiar with TPR and PBL teaching methodologies.
- Provide tools and EFL resources for children to use and explore through playful activities, including arts and crafts to deliver an exciting and animated lesson.
- Be able to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests of children’s learning styles.
- Know how to use an interactive whiteboard & be familiar with modern teaching methodologies.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.

Your Primary Duties will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessons and other linguistic activities.
- Manage your personal teacher’s account on the school’s chosen online platform.
- Rating and reporting on your students’ progress.
- Preparing students for Cambridge YLE exams.
- Attending monthly faculty meetings and training seminars throughout the academic year.
